Oval face shapes are slightly longer than they are wide, similar to the shape of an egg, and the cheekbones are the widest part of the face. The jaw and forehead are rounded, and the sides of the face are slightly curved—there are no sharp angles.
Look for: You are very lucky because you can pull off all of our styles! Most styles work well on this face shape, so you can mix it up.
If you have a square face shape, you have a squared jaw, and minimal curves to your face. Your forehead, cheekbones, and jaw are about equal in width. Some square faces are as wide as they are long, while others are longer and more rectangular in shape.
Look for: Round frames. The larger your face, the larger the frames should be. Those with square faces should choose frames that extend past the widest part of their face so look for oversized frames.
If you have a heart-shaped face, you have a widow's peak and pointy chin. Your forehead or cheekbones are the widest part of your face, tapering down to a narrower jaw.
Look for: Wider at the top and tapered at the bottom, so they complement the outline of your face. Try to keep proportioned to your face size. If you have small, delicate features, look for smaller frames. If you have more dramatic features, look for larger and bolder frames.
If you have a round face shape, your face length and width are about equal. You have no angles to your jaw, which is also rounded.
Look for: Rectangle and square frames. Angular lines balance the roundness of your face and add definition.
